Regrouping hierarchical group data

To regroup the hierarchical group and service topology datafiles, invoke the following command from the BASEDIR/smarts/bin directory:

tdmctl -s <global_manager> invoke GA_DaemonDriver::
         
            ICS-Group-Driver start s

Depending on your security configuration, you might be prompted for your VMware Smart Assurance username and password.

When the Global Manager regroups the topology information in the datafiles, it first checks for errors. If the Global Manager encounters an error, it writes output to the terminal or its log file and does not process the datafiles.
