The types of modifications you can make to an escalation path are determined by whether the escalation path is enabled or disabled. For example, when:

  • A path is enabled, you can edit the duration and tools for any escalation level in the path. You cannot add or remove escalation levels from the path or change the policy or path filters. However, you can change the script when asl script is used as a filter.

  • A path is disabled, you can edit the escalation path filter and change the duration or invoked tools at any escalation level. In addition, you can add or remove escalation levels.

  • All paths in a policy are disabled, you can edit the escalation policy filter.
