Managing applications for your team in Tanzu Platform hub

As an application owner, you want to ensure that the application is running well so that the DevOps team can work unimpeded.

Application owners are usually users who support DevOps teams and manage applications on a day-to-day basis. To run the actions, the organization owner must give the application owners the Tanzu Platform hub administrator role.

What actions can you run on the applications and the resources

As an application owner, you can run the following actions on your application.

The availability of the actions depends on your permissions and the state of the resources.

What do properties tell you about your entity

Properties are the resource properties for the entities. The properties, displayed in the right pane for each selected entity, can represent different types of collected data.

  • General properties. The General properties, collected and stored in the graph database, are used by the Entity Data Service (EDS) to identify the entity. For example, the cloud account ID, the provider, the region, the resource name, and the resource ID.
  • Secure Clouds. The Secure Cloud property reports the number of changes to the entity in the last month.

Other properties depend on the entity type. For example:

  • If you entity is an AWS API Gateway, then the APIGateway properties appear in the Properties in the right pane.
  • If your entity is a Microsoft Azure AKS managed cluster, then the AKS properties appear in the Properties.

Other entity types have other properties. This is not a definitive list.
