After deploying a Kubernetes cluster, you can edit the configurations of the cluster and its Control Plane, Node Pool, and Add-Ons. You can also upgrade the Kubernetes version.
What to read next
Viewing Cluster Details After a Kubernetes cluster is deployed, it is listed under Infrastructure > CaaS Infrastructure > Cluster Instances . To view more information about the Kubernetes cluster, click the cluster name.
Edit Cluster Configuration and Control Plane You can scale up or scale down the number of primary node replicas and add or remove labels.
Copy Specification and Deploy a New Cluster To deploy multiple Kubernetes clusters with similar configurations, you can copy the configuration of a specific Kubernetes cluster and use it for deploying a new Kubernetes cluster.
Retry a Failed Cluster Creation Operation If the cluster creation operation become unavailable due to an unknown error such network unavailability, you can retry the operation. The retry operation retries the cluster creation operation from the point of failure. If you want to change the configuration of the cluster and retry the creation, you must delete the old cluster and recreate it.
Stop a Cluster Creation Operation You can stop an ongoing cluster creation operation. When you stop a cluster creation operation, Telco Cloud Automation rolls back the progress of Kubernetes Cluster creation operation and deletes all the deployed nodes. After a cluster creation operation is stopped, you cannot deploy the same cluster again.
Delete a Cluster You can delete a Kubernetes Workload cluster.
Add a Node Pool You can add a node pool to a Kubernetes Workload cluster.
Edit a Node Pool You can scale up or scale down the number of Worker nodes in each node pool and add labels. If a network function with infrastructure requirements is running in this node pool, the scaling up operation automatically applies all the node customizations on the new nodes.
Delete a Node Pool You can delete a Node Pool from the Kubernetes Workload cluster.
Deploy a Similar Node Pool To deploy multiple node pools with similar configuration, you can copy the configuration of a specific Node Pool and use it to deploy a new Node Pool.
Deploy Add-Ons You can deploy Add-Ons to your Kubernetes Workload cluster.
Edit an Add-On You can reconfigure an add-on of your Kubernetes cluster.
Delete an Add-on You can delete an Add-on of your Kubernetes cluster.
Upgrade the Control Plane VMware Telco Cloud Automation version supports the upgrade of the existing Control Plane to the latest versions.
Upgrade a Node Pool You can upgrade an existing Workload Cluster Node Pool to include the latest Kubernetes version supported in the VMware Telco Cloud Automation 3.1.1.
