The Policies tab under Cluster Instances displays the applied policies of the workload cluster.

View Policies

Policies are categorized by their type. VMware Telco Cloud Automation 3.2 supports the type, Node Policy.

A Node Policy is a cluster policy for nodepool customization. Multiple node policies can be created on a nodepool.

A node policy contains VM and OS level customizaion, such as kernel version, additional network devices, VMX settings, etc.
  1. The Status shows the status of the node policy.
  2. The Labels shows the labels on the policy.
    • telco.vmware.com/owner indicates if the node policy is created from caas or nf.
    • telco.vmware.com/nodepool indicates the nodepool the node policy is applied.
    • telco.vmware.com/nf indicates network function of the node policy.
To view more details of a policy, expand the policy item:
  • Conditions shows condition details like Type, Status, Reason, Message, etc.
  • View more details will show the full details of the policy.
