Scenario 5: Migration and Replication

This section describes the case where an existing old version TCA Airgap Server was deployed to be migrated to the new version TCA Airgap Appliance. At the same time, the new version TCA Airgap Appliance is required to mirror the newer version artifacts data.

Prerequisites

• A public virtual network with north-bound firewall configured to allow accessing the official sites serving for artifacts data downloading.

• A private virtual network with internal firewall configured to allow accessing the TCA Airgap Appliance port 443 and 8043 on the public network.

Procedure

1. Deploy replication scenario.

   Deploy the replication scenario by following the steps mentioned in Scenario 3: Replication.

   Note:

   Newly deployed TCA Airgap appliance should be configured with a different FQDN, IP, and certificate from the exisiting TCA Airgap appliance, which user can reconfigure later.

2. Mirror and replace the existing TCA Airgap appliance.

   On the newly deployed TCA Airgap appliance, perform the Step 2 and Step 3 mentioned in Migrating the TCA Airgap Appliance deployed with Photon OVA and scripts.
