Enable vSAN on the resource cluster to serve as shared storage on the Telco Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Director Edition platform.

For more information, see Configure a Cluster for vSAN Using the vSphere Client.

Procedure

  1. Enable vSAN on the cluster TCI_RES_CLUSTER.
  2. To create the vSAN disk group, select all the HDD and SSD disks of each ESXi host, and add them to the vSAN cluster.
  3. Name the vSAN datastore to TCI_RES_VSAN_DS.
  4. Verify that the vSAN datastore TCI_RES_VSAN_DS is visible on the hosts.

What to do next

VERIFICATION CHECKPOINT 6

After configuring vSAN, verify the following:

  2. The vSAN datastore TCI_RES_VSAN_DS is visible to all hosts in the cluster.
