Enable vSAN on the Edge cluster and create a datastore to use as shared storage.

For more information, see Configure a Cluster for vSAN Using the vSphere Client.

Procedure

  1. Enable vSAN on the cluster TCI_EDGE_CLUSTER.
  2. To create the vSAN disk group, select all the HDD and SSD disks of hosts.
  3. Rename the vSAN datastore to TCI_EDGE_VSAN_DS.
  4. Verify that the vSAN datastore TCI_EDGE_VSAN_DS is visible to all the hosts.

What to do next

VERIFICATION CHECKPOINT 5

After configuring vSAN, verify the following:

  • The hosts ESXi_EDGE_01 through ESXi_EDGE_04 are added to the cluster TCI_EDGE_CLUSTER, as seen from TCI_RES_VC.

  • The vSAN datastore TCI_EDGE_VSAN_DS is visible to all hosts in the cluster.
