You use the Topology Builder to create and add instances of the ICIM business classes and their subclasses identified in Business classes added to the Global Manager topology using the Topology Builder to the Global Manager’s topology. These classes and subclasses compose the business data model shown in the figure.

Within an Organization, represents a semi-autonomous division that engages in one or more LOBs.

LOB

Within a BusinessUnit, represents a division that focuses on specific product markets.

Department

Within a BusinessUnit or LOB, represents a group that engages in business functions that support the BusinessUnit or LOB.
