For a PE, P, CE, or multi-VRF CE host device, the relationships that are created for an MPLSService instance depend on two things: the device type of the host device, and the MPLS and VPN services that are supported by the host device. The relationships are described in MPLSService relationship set.

Table 1. MPLSService relationship set

Device type

Relationship

Description

P

MPLSInterfaces

Points from an MPLSService to all interfaces on the host device that are MPLS-enabled.

PE

MPLSInterfaces

Same as above.

VRFInterfaces

Points from an MPLSService to all interfaces on the host device that are associated with VRFs.

Applicable to BGP-signaled L2VPNs and L3VPNs.

VRFs

Points from an MPLSService to all VRFs that are hosted by the host device.

Forwarders

Points from an MPLSService to all Forwarders that are hosted by the host device.

Applicable to L2VPNs.

ForwarderEndpoints

Points from an MPLSService to all ForwarderEndpoints that are hosted by the host device.

LDPSessions

Points from an MPLSService to all LdpProtocolEndpoints that are hosted by the host device.

Applicable to LDP-signaled L2VPNs.

CE

ConnectedTo

Points from an MPLSService to the PE device to which the host device is connected.

Applicable to L2VPNs and L3VPNs.

Multi-VRF CE

AttachedTo

Points from an MPLSService to the one or more VRFs to which the host device is attached.

Applicable to L3VPNs.
