“LSP table manager” represents a collection of LSP table manager objects that hold the LSP-related information that is discovered during per-device discovery. By default, none of the LSP table manager objects are viewable through a Global Console that is attached to the MPLS Topology Server.

To discover TE tunnels, P2MP LSPs, TE LSPs, and subLSPs, the MPLS Topology Server probes the managed devices for LSP-tunnel header information and writes that information to the LSP table manager. Included in an LSP-tunnel header are the source and destination devices and all of the LSP hops from the source to the destination.

To discover LDP LSPs, the MPLS Topology Server probes the managed devices for LSP-hop information and writes that information to the LSP table manager.

The LSP table manager and LSP discovery provides a snapshot of the LSP table manager and LSP discovery.

Figure 1. The LSP table manager and LSP discovery

As shown in Figure 33, the LSP table manager is able to accept LSP-hop information from the Adapter for Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM EMS (the Adapter) through an external interface. The external interface enables the MPLS Topology Server to create LSPs that traverse Alcatel-Lucent devices, or traverse a mixture of Alcatel-Lucent and other vendor devices. The only limitation is that the LSPs originate and terminate on same-vendor devices (a pair of Alcatel-Lucent PEs, for example).
