Network Manager Protocol view of its managed BGP topologydemonstrates how Network Protocol Manager for BGPmodels (represents) its managed BGP topology. The underlying physical-transport objects in the model, shown as white rectangles, are managed by IP Availability Manager. As such, Network Protocol Manager for BGPreceives the status of these objects from IP Availability Manager.

Not all of the underlying physical-transport objects that are understood by Network Protocol Manager for BGPare shown in Network Manager Protocol view of its managed BGP topology. For example, Network Protocol Manager for BGPalso understands Cable and TrunkCable objects. In addition, the network cloud in Network Manager Protocol view of its managed BGP topologyrepresents various types of connections between the two physical interfaces that are underlying the BGP session, including connections between ports on intermediate switches.
