After discovering and creating the IS-IS topology objects in its repository, Network Protocol Manager for IS-IS monitors the status of the IS-IS objects by periodically establishing SNMP sessions to the Juniper devices and polling the IS-IS MIB objects that are listed in MIB object polled for instrumentation by Network Protocol Manager for IS-IS.

Table 1. MIB object polled for instrumentation by Network Protocol Manager for IS-IS

MIB object

OID

Description

Module

Protocol

isisISAdjState

.1.3.6.1.3.37.1.5.1.1.2

The state of the adjacency:

1 (DOWN)

2 (INITIALIZING)

3 (UP)

4 (FAILED)

IS-IS MIB

IPv4

ciiAreaAddr

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.118.1.1.3.1.1

The area address reported in a Level 1 link-state packet (LSP).

Cisco IS-IS MIB

IPv6

ciiSysType

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.118.1.1.1.2

The level running on Intermediate System. This object follows the behavior of replaceOnlyWhileDisabled.

Cisco IS-IS MIB

IPv6

ciiISAdjIPAddrAddress

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.118.1.6.3.1.3

The IP address received by the Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System Hello (IIH) Protocol data units (PDU) from the neighboring router.

Cisco IS-IS MIB

IPv6

ciiCircIfIndex

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.118.1.3.2.1.2

Cisco IS-IS MIB

IPv6

ciiSysID

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.118.1.1.1.3

The ID for this Intermediate System.

This value is appended to the area addresses to form the Network Entity Titles.

The object value derived is implementation- specific. Some implementations may automatically assign values and not permit an SNMP write, while others may require the value to be set manually.

Cisco IS-IS MIB

IPv6

ciiISAdjNeighPriority

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.118.1.6.1.1.10

Priority of the neighboring Intermediate System for becoming the designated Intermediate System.
