Network Manager Protocol view of its managed EIGRP topology demonstrates how Network Protocol Manager for EIGRP models (represents) its managed EIGRP topology. The underlying physical-transport objects in the model, shown as white rectangles, are managed by IP Availability Manager. As such, Network Protocol Manager for EIGRP receives the status of these objects from IP Availability Manager.

Not all of the underlying physical-transport objects that are understood by Network Protocol Manager for EIGRP are shown in Figure 19. For example, Network Protocol Manager for EIGRP also understands Cable and TrunkCable objects. In addition, the network cloud in Figure 19 represents various types of connections between the two physical interfaces that are underlying the EIGRP session, including connections between ports on intermediate switches.
