IS-IS map labels

IS-IS topology maps use the labels shown in Labels that show the roles of devices in IS-IS maps to visually distinguish the different roles performed by the devices in the IS-IS topology.

Table 1. Labels that show the roles of devices in IS-IS maps

IS-IS map label	Description
L2 lab-gw.smarts.com	Level-2 capable IS-IS router. An L2 IS-IS router communicates with an L2 or L1/L2 IS-IS router in the same area or in a different area.
L1L2 rld.smarts.com	Level-1 and Level-2 capable IS-IS router. An L1/L2 IS-IS router communicates with an L1 IS-IS router in the same area, and communicates with an L2 or L1/L2 IS-IS router in the same area or in a different area.
