Enrichment service allows user to enrich the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance records by using the user-provided reference data. The user needs to configure the Enrichments for the corresponding record types to process the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance records.

Enrichment stream GUI visualizes Enrichment stream management functions, helps the user to create, read, edit, delete, start, and stop Enrichment streams. The following sections introduce the functionalities of the Enrichment stream GUI.

Enrichment Stream List Page

When user navigates to the Administration > Configuration > Enrichment menu in the left-hand-side vertical navigation, the browser navigates to the Enrichment list page, where the previously created Enrichment stream displays:

There are three pre-deployed Enrichment streams:

  1. event-stream: an Enrichment stream to enrich Event records.
  2. metric-stream: an Enrichment stream to enrich Metrics records.
  3. topology stream: an Enrichment stream to enrich Topology records.
Each row in the list shows a stream name and its description. At the beginning of each row, there is an action menu (three vertical dots), which has the following menu items:
  • Edit: Allows the page to navigate to the Enrichment editing page to edit the selected stream. You can edit the Data Type, Filter, and Enrichment Definitions fields.
    • Under Description, you can select Events, Metrics, or Topology as the data type.
    • Under Filter, you can select the Property, Expression, and Value for filtering.
    • Under Enrichment Definition, you can edit the existing Enrichment Definition or add or delete multiple Enrichment Definitions using Add or Delete Enrichment Definition Set.
  • Clone: Allows the user to clone an existing Enrichment stream and create a new one. While cloning, Enrichment configurations can be modified, or the stream can be copied with the same configurations but a different name.
  • Start: Allows the user to start the selected Enrichment stream to process TOC records. This menu item shows when the stream is not running.
  • Stop: Allows the user to stop the selected Enrichment stream. This menu item is available only when the stream is running.
  • Export: Exports the Enrichment configuration Domain-Specific Language (DSL) in the JSON format.
  • Job Detail: Allows the user to check the job detail.
  • Delete: Deletes the selected Enrichment definition.
Note: It is recommended that you edit and update the default Enrichment streams based on your Enrichment requirements instead of creating a new Enrichment stream.

On the right-hand-side of the (three vertical dots) action menu, there is a Details button that provides detailed information about the Enrichment configuration.
