VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance and Domain Manager interoperability support three different deployment scenarios.
- For users without 10.1.x deployment.
- For users without 5G deployment.
- For users with 5G deployment.
Users without Domain Manager 10.1.x Deployment
Users who have not deployed Domain Manager 10.1.x can go with the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Domain Manager 11.x version of the deployment.
Users without 5G Deployment
- Cisco ACI collector: If you are using a Cisco ACI collector in Domain Manager with standalone DCC and Kafka, you can continue to use it. In the future, you can use a Cisco ACI collector in VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance, but you must configure it and delete the existing collector from Domain Manager.
- vROps alerts: If you are using a vROps alert collector in Domain Manager with standalone DCC and Kafka, you can continue to use it. In the future, you can use a vROps alert collector in VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance, but you must configure it and delete the existing collector from Domain Manager.
- Administration UI: You can continue to use your existing workflow integrations to administrate the Domain Managers. The VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Domain Manager UI is optional and can be used for UI features supported by VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance.
You can also leverage the Alerting and Analytics feature in the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance using 10.1.x Domain Managers. In this case, only the OI server must be started from 11.2.0 deployment and point to the broker and servers running on 10.1.x. The rest of the Domain Managers can continue to operate in 10.1.x environment.
Users with 5G Deployment
In this scenario, you can continue to manage the existing infrastructure through Domain Manager 10.1.x and the 5G infrastructure through VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Domain Manager 11.x. You can leverage the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance multi SAM feature to connect to Domain Manager and VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance versions of domains.
