As explained in the Smarts IP Manager Concepts Guide and shown in ICMP and SNMP polling and threshold settings for the IP Manager, the IP Manager uses ICMP and SNMP polling to monitor the IP network. The monitoring of the network is controlled by the ICMP and SNMP polling and threshold settings that are created for the IP Manager through the Polling and Thresholds Console.
