A group contains one or more settings, and a setting contains one or more parameters. Managed objects (systems discovered in the managed network) become members of a group based on the matching criteria for the group.

  • The Smarts core class for group (in the sense of "groups and settings") is ICIM_Configuration. This class is the parent of all group classes that are used by Network Protocol Manager or any other Smarts Domain Manager.

  • The Smarts core class for setting is ICIM_Setting. This class is the parent of all setting classes that are used by Network Protocol Manager or any other Smarts Domain Manager.

  • The Smarts core class for managed object is ICIM_ManagedElement. This class is the parent of all managed object classes that are used by Network Protocol Manager or any other Smarts Domain Manager.
