Add the required roles and features to Windows Server 2016 to prepare for Integration Broker installation. The Integration Broker is required for the Citrix integration with Workspace ONE Access when Workspace ONE Access connector 19.03 is used.

Note: The steps in this procedure refer to the Windows Server 2016 user interface. For Windows Server 2012 R2, see Add Roles and Features to Workspace ONE Access Integration Broker Server (Windows Server 2012 R2).

Prerequisites

  • Verify that you are using Workspace ONE Access version 3.2.0.1 or later. Installing Integration Broker on Windows Server 2016 is supported in Workspace ONE Access 3.2.0.1 and later versions.
  • Verify that the Windows Server is installed with the latest updates.
  • Create an application pool, if necessary. You can use the default application pool or create an application pool that is dedicated to Integration Broker.

Procedure

  1. Select Start > Server Manager.
  2. In Server Manager, select Manage > Add Roles and Features.
  3. In the Add Roles and Features wizard, in the Server Selection page, select the server to configure.
  4. In the Server Roles page, select the following roles.
    • File and Storage Services
      • Storage Services
    • Web Server (IIS)

      When you select Web Server (IIS), a dialog box appears prompting you to add features that are required for Web Server (IIS). Click Add Features.

  5. In the Features page, select the following features.
    • .NET Framework 3.5 Features
      • .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
      • HTTP Activation

        When you select HTTP Activation, a dialog box appears prompting you to confirm features that are required for HTTP Activation. Click Add Features.

    • .NET Framework 4.6 Features
      • .NET Framework 4.6
      • ASP.NET 4.6
      • WCF Services:

        HTTP Activation

        TCP Port Sharing

    • Group Policy Management
    • Remote Server Administration Tools
    • Windows PowerShell:

  6. In the Web Server Role (IIS) Role Services page, select the following role services for the Web Server.
    • Web Server:

  7. Click Next and, in the Confirmation page, click Install.
  8. When the installation is finished, click Close to close the Add Roles and Features wizard.

Install Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 Redistributable Package, if necessary.
