To configure the product details for each vRealize Suite product that you are installing in the private cloud environment, use vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.

Configuration tabs appear only for the products you selected to install. You can access advanced properties to perform tasks such adding different vCenter instances, activating or deactivating VMware Workspace ONE Access registrations, and so on.

Procedure

  1. Click the vRealize Automation check box to configure installation details for vRealize Automation.
    1. Enter the fully qualified domain name and the IP address for the vRealize Automation appliance.

      A Windows user must have administrator rights.

      For more information about the vRealize Automation appliance, see the vRealize Automation Appliance and KB article 55706.

  2. When installing SaltStack Config, specify the following additional options:
    • SaltStack Config Standalone

      This configuration has no dependency on vRealize Automation and the installation proceeds without VMware Workspace ONE Access integration.

    • vRealize Automation-integrated SaltStack Config

      This configuration allows SaltStack Config to be installed for each tenant that is configured in vRealize Automation performing organic growth.

  3. Click the vRealize Business for Cloud check box to configure installation details for vRealize Business for Cloud.
    1. Select the Currency to use from the drop-down menu.
    2. (Optional) To add an additional component, click the plus sign to Add components and select the type of component to add.
    3. Enter the host name in the form of a fully qualified domain name.
    4. Enter the IP address for each component.

    If vRealize Automation is not present in the environment and is not getting deployed along with vRealize Business for Cloud, then specify the Deploy Standalone vRealize Business for Cloud property to true in Advanced Properties. If VMware Workspace ONE Access is present in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager, then vRealize Business for Cloud is automatically registered with VMware Workspace ONE Access.

    There is only one deployment type for the standard node cluster in vRealize Business for Cloud.
  4. Click the vRealize Operations Manager check box to configure installation details for vRealize Operations Manager.
    1. Enter the NTP server address.
    2. (Optional) Click the plus sign to Add components and then select the component type.
    3. Enter the host name in the form of a fully qualified domain name.
    4. Enter the IP address for each component.
    5. Select the Node Count or Node Size for vRealize Operations Manager deployment. vRealize Operations Manager recommends that the number of analytic nodes available for a selection depend on the selected node size.
    The default type of deployment for vRealize Operations Manager is a node size and node count.
  5. Click the vRealize Log Insight check box to configure installation details for vRealize Log Insight.
    1. (Optional) Click the plus sign to Add components and select the type of component to add.
    2. Enter the host name in the form of a fully qualified domain name and the IP address for each component.
    3. If you are adding cluster virtual IPS, optionally enter load balancer settings.
    4. Click Components + icon, to add and enable any of the configuration during the deployment.
    The deployment type available for vRealize Log Insight is standalone and cluster.
  6. Click the vRealize Network Insight check box to configure installation details for vRealize Network Insight.
    1. (Optional) Click the plus sign to Add components and select the type of component to add.
    2. Select the license key if registered in My VMware or enter the License key manually.
    3. Enter the Infrastructure details and select the NTP servers.
    4. Enter the network and certificate details.
    5. Under the Product Details, click Add component to add a vRealize Network Insight platform or a collector. This option is dependant on what type of vRealize Network Insight you are selecting initially. If you have selected a cluster of vRealize Network Insight, then you can have two platforms and one collector by default.
    The deployment type available for vRealize Network Insight is standard and cluster.
  7. Click the vRealize Orchestrator check box to configure installation details for vRealize Orchestrator.
    The vRealize Orchestrator setup is integrated with vRealize Automation and you can install vRealize Orchestrator after installing vRealize Automation.
    The deployment type available for vRealize Orchestrator is standard and cluster.
  8. Click Next.
