If you provide an incorrect host name or if you want to change the host name of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager after deployment, follow the steps provided in this section.
Cause
You want to update the host name of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.
Solution
- Use the Secure Shell (SSH) to access vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance using the root user privileges.
- Update the host name using the following commands:
rm/opt/vmware/etc/vami/flags/vami_setnetwork
/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_set_hostname new-hostname
- Reboot the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance.
- Update the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager certificate under Settings in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager.
- Close the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance.
- Locate the virtual machine in vCenter.
- Select Configure, and then select vApp Options.
- Select
vami.hostname
, set the value, and then update the value to the new host name.
- Power ON the virtual machine, and then change the host name using the following command:
/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net
- Reboot the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance.
