This section describes how to install Carbon Black EDR on a server that does not have access to the CentOS/RedHat or Carbon Black Yum repositories.
Installing Carbon Black EDR using a Yum cache is very similar to a standard server installation. The only difference is that you instruct Yum to use the local cache for all operations.
Carbon Black recommends that you disable Carbon Black Alliance communications on an air-gapped server to avoid "New Task Error" notifications in the console.

Caution: The steps here are for a new installation only. If you already have the
Carbon Black EDR server installed, do not perform these steps.
Using the new installation procedure on an existing server can result in loss of all data, including the configuration and event data collected from sensors.
