Before you migrate VMware Aria Automation, you must gracefully take offline the cluster and shut down the virtual machines.

Procedure

  1. Take the VMware Aria Automation cluster offline.
    1. Log in to the first VMware Aria Automation cluster node by using a Secure Shell (SSH) client at <first_aria_automation_node_fqdn> as root.
    2. Run the following commands and wait until the script completes.
      /opt/scripts/svc-stop.sh
      sleep 120
      /opt/scripts/deploy.sh --onlyClean
  2. Shut down the VMware Aria Automation cluster virtual machines by using vCenter Server.
    1. Log in to the management domain vCenter Server in the protected VMware Cloud Foundation instance at https://<protected_vcenter_server_fqdn>/ui as [email protected].
    2. In the VMs and Templates inventory, navigate to the VMware Aria Automation virtual machine folder.
    3. Right-click the first VMware Aria Automation cluster virtual machine and select Power > Shut down guest OS.
    4. In the Confirm guest shut down dialog box, click Yes.
    5. Repeat these steps for the remaining VMware Aria Automation virtual machines.
