Ordering SDDC

Order an SDDC to host your workloads. To order an SDDC, you must first choose a location where you want to install it, select a rack, specify the number of hosts for your SDDC, and set up the management and VeloCloud networks. You can either complete the ordering process at a stretch or save the details and continue later. The SDDC you create is listed on the Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDC) page. You can access your SDDC from this page anytime and continue with the ordering process flow.

Prerequisites

Read through the following order processing checklist as you prepare to order your first SDDC.

• Plan adequate space for the rack based on its dimension and ensure that you have accommodations for network cabling and power accessibility. Also, provide enough space for service and maintenance.
• Ensure that the rack is not exposed to direct sunlight and the site maintains the specified temperature and humidity levels.

• Plan for electrical power sources that meet the requirements of the rack.
• Ensure that your existing network at the SDDC location can route traffic from the VeloCloud WAN interface to the VeloCloud Gateways and Orchestrator in the cloud with the ports, TCP 443, and UDP 2426.
