Create a Virtual Machine

How you create a virtual machine depends on its guest operating system. Virtual machines created using Fusion 6 and later are created with SATA virtual disks or CD drives.

Note: VMware Fusion does not provide any technical support for errors encountered during the in-place upgrade to any major versions of the Guest Operating System. If the operating system vendor identifies an issue with VMware Fusion, then VMware can provide assistance.
