After installing the client and server components and configuring GPSS, you can use Informatica client tools to create a Greenplum Database loader target. The loader target encapsulates metadata for the Greenplum Database tables that will be used for storing data. In order to create a loader target, you first create a dedicated connection between the VMware Greenplum Connector for Informatica and the GPSS service. You can then use that connection to import Greenplum Database table definitions as a loader target. Finally, a mapping is created for the target, which can be used in Informatica workflows to transfer data and to customize session configuration properties loading data into Greenplum Database.
