Horizon supports multi-session hosts that provide published desktops and applications that users can access from Horizon Client. Multiple users can connect concurrently to the same published desktop on a Windows-based Remote Desktop Services (RDS) host or a Linux-based multi-session host. They can also connect concurrently to the same published applications provided by such a host.
In a typical Horizon deployment, clients connect to desktops and applications through Horizon Connection Server. However, if you install View Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In on a Windows or Linux multi-session host, clients can connect directly to published desktops or applications without using Connection Server
