Modify a class in VMware Lab Platform

As an instructor, you can modify a class from the Class Management > Classes page.

You can modify settings for a class including adding or removing students, managing labs or entitlements, modify the start time of a started class, or cloning a vApp.

Note:

Each class can have one lab, and the lab cannot be changed after the class is started.

Important:

If the class end date or time is changed, then the Entitlement expiration date is automatically updated to the same. For more information, see Managing Lab Entitlements.

Prerequisites

• The following settings must be activated, if you want to modify or update a class.

  Allow Instructors to Manage Lab and Entitlements of a Class

  Allow Instructors to Clone vApps

Procedure

1. To display a list of available classes, from the navigation panel, click Classes. If you have activated Advanced Options, select Class Management > Classes.
2. To update a class form, click a class name, and click Update.

   

3. In the Update Class form, edit information for your class, and click Update Class. If you modify the time and date values of an already started class, the modified values will be effective from the next day.

   The updated class is listed in the Classes section.
