After creating a customer, configure the feature options and settings that the customer can access. As an Operator, you can choose the settings the customer or enterprise can modify.

When you create a new customer, you are redirected to the Customer Configuration page, where you can configure the customer settings.

You can also navigate to the Configuration page from the Manage Customers page in the Operator portal. Select the customer and click Actions > Modify or click the link to the customer.

In the customer or Enterprise portal, click Configure > Customer, and you can configure the following settings.

You can configure the following settings:

  • Customer Capabilities – Activate or deactivate the settings that the selected customer can access, configure, and modify. See Configure Customer Capabilities.
  • Security Policy – Choose to update the existing security policies while creating VMware SD-WAN Edges to VMware SD-WAN Edges IPSec Tunnels. See Configure Security Policy.
  • Service Access – Choose the services the customer can access along with the roles and permissions available for the selected service. See Configure Service Access.
    Note: By default. the Global Settings service is activated for a customer and it is not configurable.
    Note: If Edge Network Intelligence service is activated for a customer, ensure not to select the Self Healing check box as the Self Healing feature is not completely supported in the 5.0.0 release.
  • Gateway Pool – Choose a SD-WAN Gateway pool to be assigned to the enterprise. See Associate Gateway Pool.
  • Maximum Segments – Enter the maximum number of segments that can be configured. The range is 1 to 16 and the default value is 16.
  • OFC Cost Calculation – Choose to distribute the calculation of cost of routes to the VMware SD-WAN Edges and VMware SD-WAN Gateways to reduce the resource consumption and load of the Orchestrator. Note: Use the Non SD-WAN Destination (NSD) Policy option for route cost calculation to VMware SD-WAN Edges / VMware SD-WAN Gateways. Upgrade all VMware SD-WAN Edges and VMware SD-WAN Gateways to version 4.2.0 or later to enable this property. See Configure Distributed Cost Calculation.
  • Multiple-DSCP tags per Flow Path Calculation – Choose to enable path calculation for a single flow with multiple DSCP labels. See Configure Path Calculation with Multiple DSCP Labels per Flow.
  • Edge NFV – Enable NFV on SD-WAN Edges to deploy security VNFs. See Configure NFV and VNF for Edges.
  • Edge Image Management – Manage the SD-WAN Edge software images assigned to an enterprise. See Manage Edge Software Images.
  • Other Settings – This option is available only when you have activated the User Agreement option. For the selected customer, you can change the user agreement default settings using the following options:
    • User Agreement Display - Select the relevant option from the list to override the default display settings of the User Agreement. By default, the customer inherits the display mode set in the System Properties. For more information, see Manage User Agreements.
    • User Agreement - Select the user agreement from the list that you want to display for the customer. By default, the customer inherits the default user agreement.

After making changes to the configurations, click Save Changes.
