Verifying that the new class is present in the Network-Resource Manager

Before trying to discover instances of the new printer class, verify that the SM_Printer class has been added to the data model of TEST_SERVER_RM.

To verify the presence of the new class:

1. Open a Global Console. For this example, attach to TEST_SERVER_RM.

2. Right-click within the Topology Browser Console topology tree and select Select .

3. Select Show classes with no instances in current domain, and click OK.

4. In the Topology Browser Console, verify that the SM_Printer class has been added as shown in SM_Printer class in topology of TEST_SERVER_RM.

   Note:

   You can also use dmctlto verify whether the class is present in the topology. “Command-line mode” on page 93provides further details.
