The following map types are available for viewing the OSPF topology:

  • OSPF Connectivity map

A map type that shows OSPF areas, OSPF services, and the OSPF adjacency (OSPF neighbor relationship or OSPF virtual link) connections between the OSPF services. OSPF adjacency objects appear as edges (graphical representations of relationships or connections) in this map. OSPF map availability identifies the OSPF objects for which the OSPF Connectivity map is available.

  • OSPF Network Connectivity map

A map type that shows OSPF networks, OSPF services, and the OSPF adjacency (OSPF neighbor relationship or OSPF virtual link) connections between the OSPF services. OSPF adjacency objects appear as edges in this map. OSPF map availability identifies the OSPF objects for which the OSPF Network Connectivity map is available.

  • Physical Connectivity map

A common map type that has been expanded to include the OSPF adjacency (OSPF neighbor relationship and OSPF virtual link) objects shown in OSPF map availability. OSPF adjacency objects appear as edges in this map.

  • Group Membership map

A common map type that has been expanded to include OSPF router redundancy groups. The redundancy groups are specified by using user-modifiable discovery hook scripts, as explained in the VMware Smart Assurance Network Protocol Manager Discovery Guide Supplement . The Group Membership map shows the composition (OSPF routers) of these groups.
