Filters enable you to control the contents of your console, view, or individual summaries. You apply a filter to notification attributes, any class, or instance, or both. For example, you may want to monitor only critical notifications with high impact on your business operations. There is one filter per view or summary. Filter criteria are saved if you save your consoles.
This section describes how to filter notifications with the Filter Builder dialog box. “Filtering summaries” on page 108 includes information on applying a topological filter to a summary using the Filter Builder.
