Create clusters

This section has topics for instructing you on how to create clusters on Tanzu Platform for Kubernetes.

Register a TKG Supervisor	As a platform operator, you can work with your Tanzu Kubernetes Grid administrator to register a management cluster in Tanzu Platform to enable lifecycle management of its workload clusters.
Create an AWS account credential for EKS cluster lifecycle management	Set up a credential that allows Tanzu Platform to manage resources in your AWS account.
Update your AWS account credential for EKS cluster lifecycle management	Update an existing credential that allows Tanzu Platform to manage resources in your AWS account.
Add a new workload cluster in vSphere IaaS control plane	After you have registered a vSphere (v8) Supervisor, you can use Tanzu Platform to provision resources and create a new workload cluster.
Add a new workload cluster in vSphere with Tanzu	After you have registered a vSphere (v7) Supervisor, you can use Tanzu Platform to provision resources and create a new workload cluster.
Add a new EKS cluster	After you have created a credential to access your AWS EKS account, you can use Tanzu Platform to provision resources and create a new EKS cluster in your AWS account.
Add an existing EKS cluster	After you have created a credential to access your AWS EKS account, you can bring the existing clusters in your account under the management of Tanzu Platform.
Connect to a managed cluster with kubectl	After you have added a cluster into Tanzu Platform management, you can connect to it with kubectl using the configuration file that Tanzu Platform generates for you.
Delete a managed cluster	Remove a cluster that you no longer want to manage with Tanzu Platform.
Detach a managed cluster	Remove a self-managed cluster that you no longer want to manage with Tanzu Platform.
