This section describes an approach on how to move the artifacts data into an environment has no direct access to the internet. In this approach, users need to deploy two TCA Airgap Appliances, one to generate the artifacts data bundle, another to import the bundle. You need to transfer the data bundle to the internal TCA Airgap Appliance with your preferred ways.

Prerequisites

  • An environment with Internet connectivity to export the artifacts data bundle.

Procedure

  1. Deploy a TCA Airgap Appliance on to an environment with the Internet access.

To download the OVA and deploy a TCA Airgap Appliance, see Deploying a VM-Based TCA Airgap Appliance.

  2. Export the artifacts data bundle.

On the newly deployed TCA Airgap Appliance, follow the Step 2 and Step 3 mentioned in Migrating the TCA Airgap Appliance deployed with Photon OVA and scripts.

  3. Transfer the artifacts data bundle.

Copy the artifacts data bundle from the TCA Airgap server to the location where target private network can access. You can transfer it by uploading to some file server or by external hard drive.

  4. Deploy a TCA Airgap Appliance on the private network. To download the OVA and deploy a TCA Airgap Appliance, see Deploying a VM-Based TCA Airgap Appliance.
  5. Import the artifacts data bundle to the TCA Airgap appliance on the private network.

For importing the artefacts bundle on the TCA Airgap appliance, follow the steps mentioned in Importing Artifacts Data from a Bundle.
