The Alarming service provides functions that allow you to raise alarms against conditions observed from metrics or events collected by variety of VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance collectors.
The Alarming service supports the following features:
- A User Interface that allows you to view, add, enable, disable, edit, clone, and delete alarms. Without having to edit a specific alarm definition, you can toggle the alarm state to enable or disable.
- Based on the deployed alarm definitions, the alarm service can receive and process relevant metrics data or the event data from Kafka, activate new alarms when the processed metrics meet the computed alarming conditions, or deactivate the existing alarms when you do not meet the computed alarming conditions.
- Forward the activated or deactivated alarm notifications to Kafka from where it is further processed by the Domain Manager SAM.
