OSPF topology maps use the labels shown in Labels that show the roles of devices in OSPF maps to visually distinguish the different roles performed by the devices in the OSPF topology.

Description

  1. ABR

Area Border Router (ABR). An OSPF router that has interfaces in multiple OSPF areas.

Autonomous System Border Router (ASBR). An OSPF router that exchanges routing information with routers that are running OSPF or other interior gateway protocols and belong to other autonomous systems.
