This chapter describes the procedure for a deployment shutdown of VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance.
Prerequisites
Ensure that you have adminsitrative permissions to execute the steps required for performing the shutdown. For information on what type of permissions are required for different deployment platforms, see Prerequisites topic in the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Deployment Guide.
Overview
The VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance shutdown procedure includes the following steps:
- Perform a backup for potential restore or rollback operation. For more information, see Backup and Restore VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance chapter.
- Stop the collectors and any other inbound data streams that sends data to the platform. These include any of the collectors and external system integrations that are available from the Collectors and Connectors section in the Administration tab. For more information, see Managing Collectors, Connectors, and Integrations chapter in the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Configuration Guide.
- Stop any scheduled backups that have been configured as either scheduled backups or on-demand backups. For more information, see Scheduled Backup topic.
- Stop any Enrichment, Alarming, or Analytics stream processing. For more information, see Working with Enrichment, Configuring Alarms, and Configuring Analytics chapters in the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance Configuration Guide.
- Follow instructions for cluster shutdown. For more information, see Complete Shutdown or Restart of the VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance topic.
