Recommended action

When an adapter cannot connect to VMware Smarts Assurance Manager, it is usually for one of the following reasons:

• Smarts Manager is not running.

• Name of the Smarts Manager is not the same as the name specified in the adapter’s configuration file.

• Smarts Manager cannot be reached from the host running the adapter.
