Note: Hub deep links are currently only supported on Hub iOS and Android devices. Please refer to their documentation for more information about Hub deep link support.

Shift-Based Access Control in Workspace ONE (in Tech Preview)

The Shift-Based Access Control feature is available now as a Tech Preview.

Shift-Based Access Control enables customers to configure Hub Services capabilities to be available when a shift-based worker is known to be working. This version of Shift-Based Access Control leverages working status information from customers’ WorkJam or Kronos time keeping systems and enables configurable restriction of Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub features such as notifications, app entitlements, and single sign-on when the user is not deemed to be working.

The Shift-Based Access Control Tech Preview is an opportunity for you to preview the feature and give us feedback and functionality suggestions. This feature is not fully supported and cannot be used in a production environment. You can install the tech preview in your test environment. Please reach out to your Account team if you would like to enable this feature.

Note: This version of Shift-Based Access Control supports integration with WorkJam or Kronos time keeping systems and requires Workspace ONE Experience Workflows, Hub Services (Cloud only), Workspace ONE Access (Cloud only), Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub for iOS 22.08 or later, and Android 22.11 or later.

Send Intelligent Hub Notifications from Workspace ONE Intelligence Automation Workflows

Hub notification action is now available as an action when configuring automation workflows in Workspace ONE Intelligence. Simplified Notification API in Beta

We’re introducing a simplified Notification API that external systems can leverage to send Intelligent Hub notifications to users and devices. The new Notification API reduces integration steps by allowing external systems to send a notification by providing a well-known identifier – either a userGroup name or a SmartGroup name/id. If interested in testing this API, please reach out to your VMware contact to connect with the product team.

Accelerated EOL of Legacy Workspace ONE experiences (Workspace One App and Web Portal EOL) on May 15, 2022

For several reasons listed in https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/87908, we are accelerating the EOL of these legacy experiences to May 15, 2022. Customers who have the Workspace ONE Apps deployed or are utilizing the legacy Web Portal should begin planning the lateral migration to Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub or look at enabling the new Hub browser experience.

Workspace ONE Hub Services will be updating its CloudFront domain name on June 15th, 2022

To improve security and ensure that the domain name will only allow for content from Hub Services specific CDN, Hub Services will provide a different domain URL with its destination as the CDN domain. In preparation of this change and to allow Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub to continue to load content, please add *.hub-services.vmwservices.com to your allow-list by June 15th, 2022.
