To unlock all the capabilities of vSphere+, subscribe your vCenter to vSphere+.

When you subscribe your vCenter to vSphere+:

  • vSphere license keys cannot be used in vCenter instances that are subscribed to vSphere+. You can continue to use licenses of other VMware products such as VMware Site Recovery Manager™ and VMware vSAN™.
  • All the hosts connected to this vCenter are billed to vSphere+.
  • You can configure and manage vSphere with Tanzu by using Tanzu Standard Runtime Edition included in your vSphere+ subscription. See vSphere with Tanzu Configuration and Management. For more information about Tanzu Standard Edition, see VMware Tanzu Documentation.
Important:
  • You cannot unsubscribe a vCenter from vSphere+.
  • If you want to manage hosts licensed with license keys, deploy a new vCenter. You cannot reuse a subscribed vCenter.
