Managing Platform Services Controller Services

You manage Platform Services Controller services from the vSphere Client, or by using one of the available scripts and CLIs.

Different Platform Services Controller services support different interfaces.

Interface	Description
vSphere Client	Web interface (HTML5-based client). The vSphere Client user interface terminology, topology, and workflow are closely aligned with the same aspects and elements of the vSphere Web Client user interface.
vSphere Web Client	Web interface for managing some of the services.
Certificate Management utility	Command-line tool that supports CSR generation and certificate replacement. See Managing Certificates with the vSphere Certificate Manager Utility.
CLIs for managing Platform Services Controller services	Set of commands for managing certificates, the VMware Endpoint Certificate Store (VECS), and VMware Directory Service (vmdir). See Managing Services and Certificates with CLI Commands.
