Create a Kubernetes Cluster

Using VMware Cloud Director Container Service Extension, you can deploy two types of Kubernetes clusters: Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKGm) and Native Kubernetes Cluster.

Table 1. Kubernetes cluster types

Cluster Type	Description
Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKGm) Cluster	You can create this type of cluster by the following two methods: Kubernetes Container Clusters UI plug-in. For information on how to create this type of cluster, refer to Create a VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Cluster. In VMware Cloud Director Container Service Extension client, vcd cse. For more information, refer to Create a Tanzu Kubernetes Grid cluster in Container Service Extension Client. Before you create a Tanzu Kubernetes Grid cluster, see here for detailed prerequisites and configuration settings.
Native Kubernetes Clusters	You can create this type of cluster by the following two methods: Kubernetes Container Clusters UI plug-in.
