This document provides instructions to setup the configuration in VMware Edge Network Intelligence™ (ENI) once the customers activate the ENI Analytics feature for their VMware SD-WAN Edges .
VMware Edge Network Intelligence Overview VMware Edge Network Intelligence™ is a vendor agnostic AIOps solution focused on the enterprise Edge that ensures end-user and Internet of Things (IoT) client performance, security, and self-healing through wireless and wired LAN, SD-WAN, and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE). Integration of VMware Edge Network Intelligence with VMware helps extend visibility from SD-WAN to branch, campus, and home. This integration helps VMware Edge Network Intelligence get data from different vantage points for each application flow, which includes wireless controller, LAN switch, network services, VMware SD-WAN Edge , VMware SD-WAN Hub , VMware SD-WAN Gateway , and application performance metrics. The solution provides deep visibility into the client experience for every application with actionable insights for proactive remediation. Existing SD-WAN customers can take advantage of VMware Edge Network Intelligence with software upgrade and license addition.Prerequisites to Activate ENI on SD-WAN Edges VMware Edge Network Intelligence on SD-WAN Edges , ensure you have the following prerequisites: Provision a New Edge with Analytics VMware SD-WAN Edge for collecting data inline. However, by default, Analytics is deactivated for Edges. For those Enterprise customers with Analytics activated, the Enterprise Administrators can create Analytics Edges. View Analytics Data SD-WAN Edge is provisioned with Analytics, the Analytics functionality collects data (application-specific Analytics or application and branch Analytics). The collected Analytics data are then sent directly from the SD-WAN Edge to the Cloud Analytics Engine. Operator Super User, Operator Standard Admin, Enterprise Super User, Enterprise Standard admin, Partner Super User, and Partner Standard Admin can view the Analytics data for a specific customer in the Analytics portal (https://app.nyansa.com Set Up ENI for SD-WAN Customers VMware Edge Network Intelligence (ENI) for SD-WAN customers, perform the following recommended steps.Review Incidents and Client Details After Setting Up ENI VMware Edge Network Intelligence , it can take approximately 3 to 5 days for ENI to build a baseline based on the data it receives. The following are few things that you need to familiarize and review on a regular basis.Activate Additional Feeds Analytics section in the Device Setting page of the Edge.
