Configuring GSLB Site Cookie Persistence

This section details the configuration steps for GSLB site cookie persistence.

The following steps are based on a pre-configured basic GSLB configuration.

1. Configure one federated PKI profile. This one-time operation can be done through the NSX Advanced Load Balancer UI and applies to all GSLB services.

2. Create a federated Application Persistence Profile with required inputs. Multiple profiles of this type can be defined.

3. Configure a health monitor. Multiple health monitors of this type can be defined.

4. Create the GSLB service. Identify it as being site-persistent, and associate it with:

   1. One federated Application Persistence Profile, created in step 2.

   2. One or more health monitors, created in step 3.

Note:

When running the NSX Advanced Load Balancer, all the above steps (except step 4a) can be accomplished using the NSX Advanced Load Balancer UI. Full UI support is available for step 4b.
