Clusters activated with vSphere IaaS control plane are called Supervisors. You can select between a three-zone deployment, where you enable one Supervisor on three vSphere clusters, or you can select a one-on-one mapping between a vSphere cluster and a Supervisor. Supervisors are the base of vSphere IaaS control plane providing the necessary components and resources for running workloads that include vSphere Pods, VMs, and Tanzu Kubernetes Grid clusters.
