  2. Downloading the VMware Edge Compute Stack Media

  3. Setting Up a Git Repository

  4. Creating a Site

  5. Deploying VMware Edge Compute Stack Hosts

    1. Deploying a Physical Host

    2. Deploying a Virtual VMware Edge Compute Stack Host

  6. Associating a VMware Edge Compute Stack Host to a Git Repository

  7. Configuring VMware Edge Compute Stack Hosts

  8. Deploying Workloads

    1. Kubernetes Containers

    2. Deploying Virtual Machines

The VMware Edge Compute Stack Deployment Architecture shows the basic architecture of the Orchestrator service and its relationship to the Edge Compute Stack SaaS service, and its Git repository. A typical Edge Compute Stack service host connects to a Git repository to pull its desired state information for the infrastructure (every one minute), VMs and containers, telemetry is provided from the host to allow basic monitoring from the Orchestrator SaaS Service. The Edge Compute Stack hosts are designed to work in environments that have limited, inconsistent, or no network connectivity.
