vRealize Suite 2017 Backup and Restore

You can successfully back up and restore the VMware vRealize ™ Suite components by using EMC Avamar 7.4, Symantec NetBackup 7.6, or vSphere Data Protection 6.0.

You can back up and restore the following versions of vRealize Suite components by using EMC Avamar 7.4, Symantec NetBackup 7.6, or vSphere Data Protection 6.0.

• vRealize Automation 7.3.0, 7.2.0, 7.1.0, and 7.0.1
• VMware vRealize ™ Orchestrator ™ 7.3.0, 7.2.0, 7.1.0, and 7.0.1
• vRealize Operations Manager 6.6.0, 6.5.0, 6.4.0, 6.3.0, and 6.2.0
• vRealize Log Insight 4.5.0, 4.3.0 , 4.0.0, 3.6.0, 3.3.x
• vRealize Business 7.3.0, 7.2.0, 7.1.0, 7.0.1

When to Back Up Components

You should back up vRealize Suite components for the following reasons:

• To prepare for major maintenance of any of the system components
• To implement scheduled maintenance backup
• To prepare for updating certificates
• To protect certificates after updating them
