The inventory is a collection of devices that are either dynamically identified using VMware SD-WAN Edges or Crawlers, or manually added in VMware Edge Network Intelligence.
VMware Edge Network Intelligence displays the dynamically identified devices in the Inventory page as long as there is traffic on those devices. If there is no traffic on a device for up to two weeks, the device is aged out of VMware Edge Network Intelligence. You cannot delete any of these devices.
Crawlers, Edges, Controllers, Switches, and UPS are some of the devices that you can manually add. For more information, see Adding Data Sources.
You can filter the devices based on the sites where they are located or the time range window between three hours to two weeks. You have additional filters based on the device type to sort and view the list of devices. You can also choose to export the device list to a .csv file. The first 10,000 records are exported.
Click a device row to view the details. VMware Edge Network Intelligence uses a standard detail page format to display the devices. The elements have a similar format and functionality across the different device types. It's important to understand these elements as some elements contain additional detail when clicked. Detail pages are typically made up of one or more detail "cards". The top card is usually the identifying information for the item and may contain historical information such as the last few IP addresses a device has had. Other elements of the detail pages include incidents for clients, top talkers for applications, AP neighbors for access points, and all have some degree of raw data graphs.
Detail pages are also scoped to the time picker in the upper right corner, though not all detail will follow the constraints as noted below.
