Note: The latest VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager product support pack release includes all the VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.10 Patch 1 changes. You do not need to apply Patch 1 if you have already applied the most recent product support pack.

What's New

The following capabilities are available in vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.10 Patch 1:

Masking sensitive information

Sensitive information such as the IP address and hostname of vRealize products usage and license details shared between on-premises vRealize Suite LifeCycle Manager and SaaS-based vRealize Cloud Subscription Manager can be masked.

Auto-revert option

An auto-revert option is now made optional for vRealize Automation upgrades.

Upgrade of VMware Identity Manager standard instance from 3.3.6 to 3.3.7 might fail if you are using VMware Lifecycle Manager 8.10 PSPAK7.

An upgrade of the VMware Identity Manager standard instance from 3.3.6 to 3.3.7 might fail if you are on VMware Lifecycle Manager 8.10 PSPAK7 and the partition occupies 100% storage, with horizon.log consuming most of the disk space. This issue is fixed with the VMware Lifecycle Manager 8.10 Patch1. It is also fixed with VMware Lifecycle Manager 8.10 PSPAK8.

To correct the issue, revert the VMware Identity Manager instance to your pre-upgrade snapshot and apply vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.10 Patch 1 or VMware Lifecycle Manager 8.10 PSPAK8 and try the upgrade again from beginning.

vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.10 Patch 1 Installation Procedure

This section describes the prerequisites and the download instructions you should know before installing the software. If the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA is not connected to the Internet, you can download this patch by going to the VMware Patch Download Center and selecting  vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager from the Search by Product drop-down menu.

When vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA is not connected to the Internet, perform the following steps.

Verify that you have taken a snapshot of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA.
Log in to vRealize Lifecycle Manager VA.
From the Lifecycle Operations dashboard, navigate to Settings > Binary Mapping and click Patch Binaries.
Click UPLOAD and click SELECT FILE to upload the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager version 8.10 Patch 1 downloaded from VMware Patch Download Center.
Once you upload patch 1, navigate to Settings > System Patches.
Click NEW PATCH, select the patch, and click NEXT.
To install patch 1, click INSTALL. Once the patch install is triggered successfully, vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager services are restarted and you are redirected to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager UI login page.

Note: To verify your new patch, from the Lifecycle Operations dashboard, navigate to Settings > System Patches, and check Patch Details.

If the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA is connected to the Internet, perform the following steps.

Verify that you have taken a snapshot of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA.
Log in to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager VA.
From the Lifecycle Operations dashboard, navigate to Settings > Binary Mapping and click Patch Binaries.
Click CHECK PATCHES ONLINE and once the request is complete, search for vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.10 patch and download the patch.
Once you have downloaded patch 1, navigate to Settings > System Patches.
Click NEW PATCH, select the patch, and click NEXT.
To install patch 1, click INSTALL. Once the patch install is triggered successfully, vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager services are restarted and you are redirected to vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager UI login page.

Note: To verify your new patch, from the Lifecycle Operations dashboard, navigate to Settings >System Patches, and check Patch Details.
